FREE BACKING TRACKS (TOP QUALITY, FULLY PRODUCED)

You can record my song(s) using your band OR you can use the pre-mixed backing tracks to my songs (all the music minus the vocals), and simply record YOUR vocals over the tracks in a studio of your choice (I am not a producer nor do I own a recording studio).  This of course will save you lots of time and money in studio.  Best of all, you can use my tracks FREE OF CHARGE if they are used to record my songs(s).

RECORDING A SONG YOU DIDN'T WRITE...HOW IT WORKS IN THE INDUSTRY.

There's a fee that you (or your record company, if you have one), must pay the copyright owner(s) for the rights to a song (see below for a list of the rights).  This fee is set by the Copyright Royalty Board and as of 2020 is still only 9.1 cents per song/per album.  Below are two examples.

1) You record a song to put on your EP/album and plan on pressing 500 copies.  The fee would be 9.1 cents x 500 copies which is $45.50 for that song.  If you press 1000 copies, the fee would simply double.  NOTE: 500 copies is my minimum quantity for royalty rate processing.

2) You record a song to place it on online music sites such as iTunes, Amazon etc.  The fee would be the same as outlined above except instead of 500 copies, it would mean for 500 downloads.
